This is the perfect thermometer! No worries about mercury or dead batteries. Easy to read and clean. It is glass so I didn’t start using this until my son was about 6,
I bought one of these years ago and it finally dropped on the bathroom, tile floor and broke. None of my neighborhood stores had it and so I was so happy to find it on Amazon.

Underarm Thermometer

Its a good thermometer but it has an awkward shape which makes holding it in the mouth uncomfortable. I use it as an underarm thermometer and it works just fine. I tested it against my digital and it was just as accurate. Good buy for the price if us it as an underarm.
